Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu will be centre of attention on Sunday as fierce rivals, Rangers and Enyimba, clash in a match day 19 fixture in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Second-placed Enyimba, who are seeking to become the mid-season champions and have enjoyed more success than their Oriental neighbours in the league in recent years, must end a poor run in Enugu if they are to fulfil their aspiration.
The Peoples Elephant last won in Enugu in 2007, a 2-0 victory inspired by Uche Kalu.
They head into the game on the back of a convincing 3-1 home win against title rivals Sunshine Stars in midweek.
They will however find Rangers a tough nut to crack once again, as the Flying Antelopes have lost only once in eight games under the tutelage of Imama Amakapabo.
In another top fixture, leaders Sunshine Stars face basement side, Taraba United, at the Akure Township Stadium.
The Akure Gunners have a hundred percent record at the venue this season and should have little problems in dispatching their guests who on Friday suspended their coach, Tony Ogharanduku, for poor results.
Third-placed Wikki Tourists face a difficult road trip to the Rojenny Stadium, Oba as guests of Heartland.
The hosts welcome back their topscorer, Bright Ejike, who missed the midweek 1-1 draw against El-Kanemi Warriors due to injury.
Festus Allen and his charges at Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt face a daunting task in their bid to continue their resurgence when they square up to Warri Wolves.
The Blue Angels have won their last two games since Allen took temporary charge of the team, while Wolves enjoyed a 2-1 road win against Taraba United on Thursday.
A full house is expected at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba when 3SC and El-Kanemi do battle at the venue.
The Oluyole Warlords will seek to return to winning ways again after going down 1-0 to Dolphins in midweek.
Kwara United will keep a date with Giwa FC in Ilorin. The Harmony Boys seem to be enjoying a new lease of life under new coach, Tunde Sani, who guided them to their first away win against FC IfeanyiUbah in midweek.
Abia Warriors and IfeanyiUbah will clash in the second oriental derby of the weekend with Akwa United and Bayelsa United doing battle at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium.
