Enugu Rangers are understood to be tracking the duo of coaches Alphonsus Dike and Monday Odigie for a possible appointment, completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Dike handled the Coal City Flying Antelopes before he was replaced by John Obuh some seasons ago.
Similarly, Odigie served as Okey Emordi's assistant during his two-season spell at the club.
Completesportsnigeria.com learnt that following the sacking of Kelechi Emeteole, the hierarchy of the club have begun subtle moves to appoint a substantive coach.
This is against the backdrop of coach Imama Amamakabor being put in temporary charge of Rangers technical matters.
"Dike and Odigie have worked with us at different times and under different portfolios," an official of Rangers, who does not want to be named, told completesportsnigeria.com.
"So we feel if it comes down to finding a new coach that will be the direction we may go, that is Dike and Odigie will be given first consideration
"But for now, coach Amamakabor is in charge and we'll give him all the support and encouragement to succeed."
