Reuben, Igiebor On Target; Swansea Stop Ighalo

Nigerian midfielder Nosa Igiebor was on target for Maccabi Tel Aviv in their 3-0 away win against Hapoel Ironi Akko in the Israeli league on Monday night.

Igiebor scored in the 70th minute to make it 2-0 for Maccabi Tel Aviv. It was his second league goal in nine league appearances this season.

Other goal scorers for Maccabi were Tal Ben Haim and Shlomi Yosef Aculay.

In Portugal, Reuben Gabriel scored his first league goal of the season as Boavista thrashed Vitoria de Setubal 4-0.

Renato Santos put Boavista in front as early as the 3rd minute before Gabriel made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute.

In the 65th minute, Ze Manuel made it 3-0, while in the 81st minute, Paulo Vinicius completed the rout by scoring the fourth goal.

Gabriel’s Nigerian team-mate, Michael Uchebo, was an unused substitute.

In the English Premier League, Odion Ighalo failed to find the back of the net as Watford lost 1-0 to Swansea in Monday night’s EPL clash. The Watford record top scorer has not scored in 2016.

Ashley William scored the only goal of the game on 27 minutes.

Nigeria junior international, Isaac Success, and his Nigerian team-mate Uche Agbo were in action for Granada who lost 5-1 away to Eibar in the Spanish league.

Success featured for 90 minutes, but Agbo, who was booked in the 10th minute, came off for Youssef El Arabi on 46 minutes.

And in the Greek league, Brown Ideye, made an appearance for Olympiakos in their 1-1 away draw against Platanias.
