Imama Amapakabo turned down a lucrative offer from former Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano Pillars to remain with Enugu Rangers, Completesportsnigeria
Amapakabo penned a new deal two year deal with the NPFL champions on Thursday putting paid to speculations that he could dump the club after guiding them to win their first league title in 32 years.
The management of the Pyramid City side dangled before him N5m as against the N3.5m he was earning at Rangers which expectedly has moved up after he signed the new contract.
The former Enyimba assistant coach in the end decided to remain with the Coal City outfit and will mastermind their title defence next term.
Pillars are looking for a new coach following Mohammed Babaganaru's resignation at the end of last season.
