Former Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Ike Shorunmu rejected a chance to join up with the national Olympic team, a top source in the Nigerian Football Federation has informed Completesportsnigeria.com.
Shorunmu who had previously worked with erstwhile Super Eagles coaches Samson Siasia and Stephen Keshi turned down the offer after Alloy Agu left the U-23 side for the senior national team.
"He rejected the chance to join the technical crew for the U-23 as a goalkeeper trainer," the source revealed.
Completesportsnigeria.com however can report that former international David Ngodigha is now the goalkeeper coach of the U-23 Eagles.
