Rio 2016 Table Tennis: Offiong Beats Sally 4-0, Faces Pavlovich Today

Nigeria's Offiong Edem has qualified for the next round of the Table Tennis event after she beat Yee Sally from Fiji 4-0 in the women's singles preliminary round at the on-going Rio 2016 Olympic Games, reports.

The 2011 African Games women singles champion defeated Sally in four straight sets 11-3, 11-8, 11-3 and 11-2.

She will face Pavlovich Victoria from Belarus in the next round by 7:15pm later today.

Meanwhile, Funke Oshonaike is currently battling Mariana Sahakian  in another fixture with scores even after the first two rounds.
