Former Manchester United and England defender, Rio Ferdinand days Alex Iwobi distinguished himself in Arsenal's 3-1 loss to Barcelona in the second leg Round of 16 Champions League clash at the Nou Camp on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old made his Champions League debut and was outstanding throughout the period he spent on the pitch before he was replaced for Olivier Giroud.
According to thereview.com Ferdinand, who rued Arsenal's missed scoring chances, hailed the partnership between Iwobi and Danny Welbeck.
"They (Arsenal) created chances, they didn't finish them, but that's what can happen," Ferdinand remarked.
"There are some positives. (Alex) Iwobi showed great promise – he and (Danny) Welbeck seemed to form a great partnership together, which seemed like something promising.
