Rivers United Captain: We Must Avoid Defeat In Kano

By Adeboye Amosu:

Rivers United captain Austin Festus says it is important for his side to avoid defeat in Sunday's Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 32 fixture against Kano Pillars, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Port Harcourt-based side sit in the third position in the table, a point behind leaders Enugu Rangers.

They face a tough test in their title  bid when they confront the Sai Masu Gida at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The centre-back reckoned that his side must avoid complacency as the season reaches the crucial point.

"The Sani Abacha Stadium is a difficult place to go to and we must be at our best if we want to come out of the place with a positive result," Festus told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We are now in  the crucial part of the season and every point counts now.

"We did well here  last season coming from two goals down to earn a point. Pillars have also struggled lately, so we believe we can beat them or get at least a draw."

Stanley Eguma's men beat Heartland 1-0 in their last fixture.
