Rivers United coach, Stanley Eguma has backed his side to recover from Sunday's disappointing loss to Kano Pillars and challenge for the league title, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Port Harcourt-based side fell 1-0 to their hosts, with Gambo Mohammed grabbing the winner in the first half.
Despite the defeat, Eguma's side remain in the third place, three points behind log leaders Wikki Tourists.
Eguma, though is disappointed to see his side lose the game, is adamant they are still in the race.
"To lose a game at this stage of the season is disappointing, but we still have so much to play for,"
Eguma informs Completesportsnigeria.com.
"The good thing is that we still have a good chance of winning the title despite the defeat.
"Now, we have six finals to play before the end of the season, and we are going to give our best shot to ensure we emerge champions at the end of the day."
