Gbolahan Salami hopes he can help fire Warri Wolves to their first Glo Premier League title after hitting the back of the net thrice in his side’s 3-0 win against Sunshine Stars on Saturday in Warri, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The Super Eagles forward who was a thorn in the side of the visitors’ defenders for the entire duration of the game promised to score more goals to help the Seasiders win the title.
“I’m delighted with the win against Sunshine Stars,” Salami opened up in a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com moments after the game in Warri.
“It was great to score three goals against one of our title rivals and I hope to score more goals in subsequent games.
“My duty as a forward is to score goals which I believe will be crucial to us becoming champions at the end of the season.
“We believe we have what it takes to win the league even though we are still few points behind Enyimba.”
