Sammy Ameobi Misses Sitter As Owoeri Scores, Abdullahi Benched

By James Agberebi:
Sammy Ameobi produced the miss of the season on Monday night as Cardiff City drew 0-0 at home to Bristol City in a Championship clash.
The younger brother of former Super Eagles striker Shola somehow hit the ball over the bar from about two inches with the goalkeeper beaten. It would have been the winner if Ameobi, who was a 67th minute substitute for Craig Noone, had converted the clearcut chance as it was in added time.
Also on Monday, Super Eagles defender, Shehu Abdullahi, was an unused substitute for Uniao da Madeira in their 1-0 away loss to Belenses in the Portuguese league.
The only goal of the game was scored by Tiago Caeiro who netted in the 90th minute.
In the Swedish league, former Flying Eagles winger, John Owoeri, was on target for Aatvidaberg but it wasn’t enough as they lost 3-2 at home to Oerebro.
Owoeri, who was in action for 90 minutes, converted a 73rd minute penalty.
Former Super Eagles midfielder, Dickson Etuhu, featured for 90 minutes in AIK’s 2-1 home loss to IFK Gothenborg.
