The Nigeria Basketball Federation/DStv Premier Basketball League took a different dimension on Saturday as the first All-Star game between the Atlantic Conference and the Savannah Conference was held inside the indoor sports hall of the National Stadium, Lagos.
Players were selected from all the clubs in the Atlantic Conference to face their counterparts in the Savannah Conference and it was a great moment for the basketball community as former NBA star, Olumide Oyedeji, tops the list of ex-internationals and legends of the dunking and slamming game that graced the occasion.
The electrifying event sponsored by DStv saw Savannah Conference winning the match after beating the Atlantic Conference that paraded former NBA star, Tunji Awojobi, 102-66 points.
Awojobi was D'Tgers' captain to the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan.
The Savannah Conference players led the first quarter 19-18, while the Atlantic Conference players' struggled in the second quarter could not yield them anything as they lost 10-26 to end the first half 45-19 in favour of the Savannah Conference that consisted players from the Northern part of the country.
The third and fourth quarters also ended in favour of the Northern boys to end the game with a commendable with a big win.
