By Adeboye Amosu:
Gambo Mohammed is eager to get on the pitch again following his injury enforced abscence.
The Kano Pillars forward is yet to feature for the club this season as a result of the gunshot injury he sustained when their team bus was attacked by armed bandits on their way to honour the Glo Premier League week one encounter against Heartland of Owerri.
The lanky goal getter recently returned to training and is waiting for doctors' clearance for him to start playing again.
He revealed to completesportsnigeria.com his joy at getting to mingle with his teammates in training once again but stated that nothing compares to the joy of facing rivals on the pitch.
''To say that I have missed football will be an understatement," he told completesportsnigeria.com.
"But I'm happy to be back in training and playing around with my teammates as that has helped in wiping away the disappointments of not playing in competive games.
"I just can't wait to get on the pitch again as I have missed football so much.
"I'm waiting for the doctor to give me the go ahead."
