National Under-23 team Chief Samson Siasia has expressed confidence that his wards will go to Congo and get the result that will see them qualify for the African Under-23 champion ship for the Rio Olympics.
Speaking soon after he came out from a meeting with the NFF Technical Committee, Siasia said the they discussed how the team will travel in comfort and get a good result.
“I am confident we shall win in Pointe Noir and qualify. I am not under any pressure because I believe we’ll go there and deliver. I have my plans which I would unfold in Congo. We won here so they have to come out to play and it becomes anybody’s game.
“I don’t have any fear of the Congolese, we know their antics and we shall prepare very well to face them. I am very, very confident we shall win and qualify,”he stated.
Siasia said he has been working on his goal-shy forwards adding that in Congo, they will not be wasteful like they did in the first leg in Port Harcourt.
The former Super Eagles coach said he was never intimidated by the fact that (Claude) Le Roy is the man he has to face again in Congo stressing ”he is an experienced coach whom we are hoping to emulate or even do better than but come August 2, we will show him and his team the exit door.”
