Nigeria U-23s handler Samson Siasia has said that he would have loved to face hosts Senegal in the final of the CAF U-23 Cup of Nations.
Both teams will do battle in today's semi-final from 4pm, with the winner guaranteed a place at next year's Rio Olympic Games.
According to cafonline.com, Siasia stated that having made it this far, there is no going back for his team.
He reiterated that Azubuike Okechukwu, who is suspended for today's game, will be missed.
“This game was supposed to be the final," Siasia said. "Coming at this time of the competition, there is nothing we can do about it. We have come this far and we want to make sure we qualify.
“It will be a difficult game and both teams have to play well. Our captain (Azubuike Okechukwu) is out, but he is just one person. He has made big contributions to our game and we will miss him. We came here with 21 players, and this is a moment for others to take opportunity and make the best out of it."
