Nigerian striker Osaze Odemwingie has been tipped to to get a new contract at the Britannia Stadium following the the results of a recent poll by Vital Stoke community.
The 33-year-old forward, who scored five goals in 15 games before rupturing his cruciate ligament last year, remains a favourite of Stoke fans, 85% of them voting that the club should give him a two-year deal, while 12% say he should only be given a pay-as-you play deal.
The remaining 3% of fans feel the Nigerian should depart the Potteries as in his absence Mark Hughes’ side achieved their highest points total for the second season in a row.
Stoke have already made moves in the transfer window as they have brought in striker Joselu from Hannover.
The former West Brom forward was named on the Potters retained list but has yet to receive a new contract at the Britannia Stadium.
