Stoke City have rejected an offer from Olympique Marseille for Nigerian forward Peter Odemwingie with the French side switching their attention to Maxi Lopez according to Sky Sports.
The 34-year-old linked up with agent Mark McKay of ExcelFoot who has a strong relationship with the French side after organising the deal that took Dimitri Payet to West Ham.
Odemwingie has six months left on his contract with an option of another year but the Potters are happy to keep the former Cardiff City and West Brom player who has made just seven appearances overall this season at the Britannia stadium
The former Nigerian international made his first start against Crystal Palace this season in the FA Cup defeat on Saturday.
