Barcelona beat Sevilla 2-0 in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Sunday night. Luis Suarez and Munir El Haddadi scored for Barcelona, to givethem a commanding lead ahead of the return leg at the Nou Camp.
The first half of the game saw both teams unable to break the deadlock. In the 27th and 36th minute, both Jeremy Mathieu and Andreas Iniesta went off injured and were replaced by Lucas Digne and Denis Suarez respectively.
On resumption into the second half, Barcelona found the breakthrough as luis Suarez put them 1-0 ahead on 55 minutes.
And in the 81st minute, substitute Munir El Haddadi scored to end the first leg 2-0 in favour of Barcelona.
