Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has dismissed Enyimba's defeat to Zamalek and is hopeful of a better performance from his charges when they take on the Nigerian champions next Wednesday in their CAF Champions League Group B fixture at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Brazilians defeated Algerian club Entente Setif 2-0 in their first group game on Saturday, while Enyimba lost 2-0 to Zamalek in Port Harcourt a day later.
Mosimane admitted that despite their shocking away win against the 2004 champions his players were not in the best physical shape for the game.
"You must remember that we only trained for two days effectively but credit to KB (team's physical trainer, Kabelo Rangoaga) and the boys who showed that they are up to the task," the former Bafana Bafana coach told the Sundowns' official website.
"Our preparation for the clash against ES Setif was not aggressive but we were clear in our mind that we had nothing to lose.
"As a result, there was less stress and less pressure and we will take this same attitude forward."
Enyimba head into the game in demoralising mood following their 1-0 defeat on Sunday against Zamalek, but Mosimane has refused to dwell on that result.
"I will not read anything into Enyimba's loss to Zamalek on very a bad pitch," he added.
