The management of Premier League side, Sunshine Stars of Akure have tendered an apology to their Shooting Stars counterpart over the harassment of their officials, Rasheed Balogun and Dan Fulani during Sunday’s Glo Premier League match day-8 clash in Akure, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
In the letter forwarded to 3SC hierarchy, Sunshine Stars said security personnel and other stakeholders were caught unawares by the action of the person who ran into the State Box and embarassed the Shooting Stars officials, and thanked God that the situation was quickly brought under control.
The four paragraph apology letter said Sunshine Stars management takes exception to such a bad conduct and took immediate steps to bring the situation under control.
“We sincerely apologize for the embarrassment and we hope that the harmonious relationship between our clubs continue as we are partners in the establishment of a credible Nigerian League in tune with international best football practices,” the apology letter concluded.
