The Nigerian women's national team, Super Falcons, arrived in the country's capital Abuja on Saturday morning.
The team crashed out of the group stages of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada, drawing one and losing two games.
The Falcons touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 5.04am.
Completesportsnigeria.com understands that some of the players checked into hotels and while others left from the airport.
Team captain Evelyn Nwabuoku, Francesca Ordega and Courtney Dike had all left for their bases in Europe from Canada.
The team were received by Nigeria Football Federation official, Mohammed Sanusi, who told the team to put behind them the disappointment of the World Cup and look forward to qualifying for the football event of the 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro.
