Nigeria U-23s came from a goal down to beat Honduras 3-1 and get their only victory at the Suwon Invitational Tournament in South Koreaon Monday.
Goals from skipper Azubuike Okechukwu, Godwin Saviour (penalty) and Saturday Kaego secured the win for coach Samson Siasia-led side.
Alberth Elis had given Honduras a first-half lead.
The U-23 Eagles had lost 1-0 to hosts South Korea and 6-2 to Denmark in their first two games.
Honduras came close to taking the lead in the fifth minute but Antony Lopez header's went inches wide.
In the 11th minute Taiwo Abdulrahman had the U-23 Eagles' first opportunity but blazed his effort over the bar.
Six minutes later, Honduras went in front through Alberth Elis.
Godwin Saviour had the chance to draw the U-23 Eagles level on 21 minutes only for him to hit a lame shot which didn't bother the Honduras keeper.
Honduras were close to doubling their lead on 26 minutes but Lozano's strike was saved by goalkeeper Mohammed Yusuf.
Yusuf prevented Honduras from going 2-0 up on 34 minutes after stopping a one-on-one with Lozano.
In the 40th minute Ndifreke Effiong failed to connect a pass from Azubuike Okechukwu as the ball went in touch for a goal kick.
Just two minutes into the second half Usman Mohammed had a glorious chance to make it 1-1 but couldn't hit target with only the keeper to beat.
In the 59th minute, the U-23 Eagles made their first change with Stanley Dimgba replacing Taiwo Awoniyi.
Skipper of the U-23 Eagles Azubuike finally levelled the score, getting on the score sheet in the 61st minute.
The U-23 Eagles went 2-1 up through Saviour who converted a 69th minute penalty after Ndifreke was fouled in the box.
In the 74th minute the U-23 Eagles made a double substitution with Ubong Ekpai and Seth Sincere replacing Saviour and Popoola.
