—Taifa Stars Head To Turkey For Preparation

By James Agberebi:

Tanzania interim coach, Boniface Mkwasa, has stated that they will be targeting a win against the Super Eagles in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Dar Es Salam.

Mkwasa who replaced Mart Noorj, made this known in an interview with Sports Radio, 88.9, Brila FM on Wednesday.

“We know we have a very big game coming up against Nigeria. We respect Nigeria, we are a small team when compared to Nigeria because we look like the underdog,” Mkwasa said.

“But as we all know in football anything can happen. So we are looking forward to winning the game because we believe we can achieve it and we are preparing towards that.”

Meanwhile, completesportsnigeria.com reports that the Taifa Stars of Tanzania will be heading to Istanbul, Turkey to intensify preparation ahead of the AFCON clash against the Super Eagles on September 5th.

They are currently bottom of the group after they lost 3-0 to Egypt in their first group game.

The Eagles occupy the second spot in the group following their 2-0 win against Chad in Kaduna.
