Former Nigeria international Taribo West has called on the coaching crew of the U-23 Eagles to work on the team's defence.
Just like in their first game against Mali, the U-23 Eagles conceded two quick goals against Egypt in the second half of their Group B clash at the U-23 Cup of Nations.
In a chat with Brila FM, the Atlanta 1996 Olympic gold medallist urged the team to do more in the defensive department.
"The team needs to work hard in the defence because it is too poor," West blasted.
"When the front men go ahead to score at the other end, only for the defence to allow the opponent to equalize, shows there is a problem."
The U-23 Eagles will take on Group B leaders Algeria in Dakar on Saturday, while Egypt will face already eliminated Mali.
