Thompson Beats Okagbare At Rabat Diamond League

One of Nigeria’s brightest medal prospects at the Rio 2016 Olympics, Blessing Okagbare, finished second in the 100m women’s event at the the IAAF Diamond League in Rabat Morocco, can report.

Okagbare finished second in 11.11 seconds behind Elaine Thompson from Jamaica who clocked 11.02 seconds to win the race.

It was Okagbare’s second 100m race for the new season as she posted her season’s best.

Okagbare didn’t start well off the blocks but managed to finish strongly in the last ten metres of the race that she came close to Thompson.

Kerron Stewart, also from Jamaica, finished third in 11.19 seconds.
