Tottenham Hotspur have signed Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle for around £30m.
Sissoko was all set to sign for Everton but Spurs hijacked the deal with barely an left in the transfer window on Wednesday night.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Moussa Sissoko from Newcastlr United,” Tottenham confirmed on their website.
“The France international has signed a contract with the Club until 2021 and will wear the number 17 shirt.
“The powerful midfielder made the move to the Premier League with the Magpies in January 2013, representing them on 133 occasions and scoring 12 times.”
Sissoko, who could not help Newcastle from being relegated to the Championship last season, surprisingly emerged as one of France’s best players as they reached the final of Euro 2016 on home soil in July.
