Toulon Tourney: Nigeria’s Rio Olympics Opponent, Japan Crash Out

Japan U-23 side have crashed out in the group stage of this year's Toulon Tournament in France after losing 1-0 to England Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The only goal of the game was scored by Lewis Baker in the 15th minute from the penalty spot.

The defeat was Japan's third in four group games, with their only win being a 2-1 win against Guinea.

Earlier defeats to Paraguay (2-1) and Portugal (1-0) saw Japan finishing fourth in the five team group.

Meanwhile, the final of this year's Toulon tournament will be between host France and England.
 

The third place play-off will be contested by Czech Republic and Portugal.
