"Special thanks to my teammates, we fought together and to the Big Boss Keshi for believing in me," Troost-Ekong told completesportsnigeria.com.
"Also I’m grateful to God for my full international debut, I’m very happy with the maximum points for the team and I must admit playing for Nigeria was one of the proudest moments of the career. I hope the coach will call me whenever he needs me and I will always come to do my best for Nigeria."
Troost-Ekong who is currently holidaying in Marrakech, Morocco will join a new club as his current deal with Gronigen was not renewed.
