U-23 AFCON: Awoniyi, Okechukwu, Dimgba Return For Final

By James Agberebi:

Nigeria U-23 Eagles trio skipper Azubuike Okechukwu, Taiwo Awoniyi and Stanley Dimgba are set to make a return to the team ahead of Saturday's CAF U-23 Cup of Nations final against Algeria.

According to the team's media officer Timi Ebikagboro, the three players took part of the team's training on Friday in preparation for Saturday's final.

Both Awoniyi and Dimgba did not feature in the semi-final win against hosts Senegal due to injury.

On his part, Okechukwu missed the Senegal clash after serving a one-match suspension.

"Players of the team training ahead of their final game against Algeria with Dimgba, Awoniyi and Azubuike back," Ebikagoro wrote on his Twitter handle.

Both Nigeria and Algeria are already through to next year's Rio Olympic Games.
