Egypt have confirmed they will file a complaint against Antoine Essouma from Cameroon, the referee who officiated their Group B match against Nigeria in the U-23 African Cup of Nations.
Essouma penalised the Egyptians twice for handball in the 18-yard box which Oghenekaro Etebo converted to give Nigeria U-23s a 2-0 first half lead, and which didn't go down well with the Egyptians.
But the U-23 Eagles let slip their two goals lead as Egypt equalised early in the second half.
According to kingfut.com, Egyptian FA board member Hamada Al Masry said that they will complain against the Cameroonian referee due to his “wrong decisions” during the encounter.
Meanwhile, Egypt who are third in group B, will take on Mali on Saturday and must win to stand a chance of qualifying for the semi-final of the U-23 Cup of Nations.
