U-23 AFCON: Ekpo Blasts U-23 Eagles, Calls For Improvement

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Friday Ekpo, has said the U-23 Eagles have to improve if they are to qualify for next year’s Olympics in Brazil.

The Nigerians won their opening Africa U-23 Cup of Nations game 3-2 against Mali with former Shooting Stars of Ibadan stsr Junior Ajayi scoring a brace.

“Coach Samson Siasia must ensure he brings out the best in this boys,” Ekpo told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“We can’t afford to keep playing like this and expect to get an Olympic ticket. We trust the coach and we’re sure he will work on the lapses to deliver Nigeria’s goal of playing in Rio next year.”

Nigeria will face Egypt on Wednesday in the next group B fixture.
