The U-23 Eagles threw away a two-goal lead as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Egypt.
A win would have sent the Nigerians to the semi-final, but the draw means they have to beat Algeria in their final group game to qualify.
The Eagles controlled the game from the blast of the whistle and went into the lead in the 21st minute through Oghenekaro Etebo from the penalty spot after an Egyptian handball.
They doubled their lead on 31 minutes again from the spot by Etebo after another handball.
But just like in their first game, the Eagles could not hold on the lead as the Egyptians levelled up, first in the 47th minute through Ahmed and an own goal by Ahamefule in the 51st minute.
Both teams went in search of the winning goal but failed to score.
The draw leaves the Eagles occupying second position in Group B behind Algeria.
They will take on Algeria on Saturday and must avoid defeat in order to qualify for the semi-final, while Egypt will face Mali.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria.
