Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Obi was on from the start but was taken off in Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to FC Porto in Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League clash at the Estadio Da Dragao.
The Nigerian international was replaced by Eden Hazard in the 62nd minute as Chelsea chased the game.
It was Mikel’s 56th game in the Champions League, scoring once for the Blues.
At the Emirates Stadium, Brown Ideye was substituted at half-time as Olympiacos handed Arsenal a shock 3-2 defeat.
The Nigeria striker was replaced by Alfred Finnbogason, who incidentally scored the winner for the Greeks.
In Isreal, Nosa Igiebor was left out of the Maccabi Tel Aviv side that lost 2-0 to Dynamo Kiev in Kiev due to a niggling knee injury.
In Russia, Moses Simon was an unused substitute for Gent who lost 2-1 to Zenit St Petersburg.
