The Black Stars of Ghana were held to a frustrating 0-0 home draw against Group E opponent Uganda on matchday 1 of the African 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Friday at the Tamale Sports Stadium, Ghana.
The first half had goal-scoring chances come at a premium with Jordan Ayew getting the best chance but he could not direct his effort towards goal.
In the second half, Ghana had the upper hand, piling the pressure in search of the opening goal but failed to break down a resolute Ugandan defence.
Also in inspiring form for the Ugnadans was goalkeeper Denis Onyango who made some vital saves for his side.
Ghana will hope to put their opening day disappointment behind them when they go away to face Egypt on matchday 2 in November.
Uganda will entertain Congo Brazzaville also in November.PROFITABLE FOREX TRADING; We GUARANTEE 37% weekly profit trading your forex account for you! WhatsApp +2348030797998 - CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS.
