Ugandan National team landed safety in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state ahead of Wednesday’s International friendly match against the Super Eagles, Complete Sports can report.
The official twitter handle for the Federation of Uganda Football Associations @OfficialFUFA wrote: “Uganda Cranes arrive safely in Uyo state, Nigeria.”
The Cranes were lucky to get the invite to face one of Africa’s giants Nigeria after Bolivia pulled out of the earlier planned match against Nigeria.
This will be the third time both teams will be meeting. Both teams won their respective home games.
Meanwhile, Uganda Head Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has said facing Nigeria in an International friendly on Wednesday at the Akwa Ibom Stadium will be the best test for his team.
“This game will test our character because the Super Eagles are a high profile team and facing them at home even makes it the best stage for my players,” said Sredojevic.
