Nigeria striker Anthony Ujah has lamented Werder Bremen’s inability to hold on to their lead following their 2-1 away loss to Eintract Frankfurt in Saturday’s Bundesliga clash.
Claudio Pizzaro put Bremen ahead in the 29th minute.
But just two minutes later, Alexander Meier restored parity for Frankfurt.
And in the second half, Stefan Aigner put Frankfurt ahead when he scored in the 48th minute.
Reacting to the loss, Ujah told Werder Bremen’s official website that Frankfurt’s equaliser was the turning point.
“Unfortunately we weren’t able to defend the lead for longer. It was difficult after they equalised so quickly and then we couldn’t get back into it after the goal early in the second half,” he said.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria.
