Super Eagles forward Anthony Ujah has hailed the important point his side gained against VFB Stuttgart on Sunday but vows Bremen will keep fighting hard to stay above the relegation zone.
Ujah who scored his ninth goal of the season for Bremen who are now 15th on the Bundesliga log admitted that it was difficult for the Green-Whites in the opening minutes of the encounter at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
"It was hard to get into the game in the first half. Stuttgart controlled it, but in the second half we played much better and deserved the point an important point which we shall keep fighting," Ujah told the Werder Bremen website.
On the penalty shout denied by referee Florian Meyer, the former Mainz star revealed it took him five minutes to get himself back after the rash tackle by the defender.
"For me, it was a clear penalty. There was contact. The defender even apologized to me for the foul," he added.
"I needed five minutes afterwards until everything was okay again. It's unlucky for us, but errors are part of football."
Werder Bremen currently 15th on the log with 14 points from 15 games face his former team Cologne who are tenth in the Bundesliga table in their next game.Jiji.ng the cheapest online shopping in Nigeria.
