Van Gaal: United Must Score Goals But I’m Satisfied

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal insists that he is “satisfied” with his team’s performances, despite scoring just one goal in their last three matches.
United also face an early exit from the Champions League after winning just two of their five group matches.
Van Gaal’s side need to beat Wolfsburg away on Tuesday in order to be certain of a place in the last 16 of the elite European competition.
Despite the team being criticised for their lack of attacking flair in recent weeks, van Gaal says he is not bothered.
“I am pleased with the squad,” Van Gaal told reporters. “When I have to reconsider our season I will say our matches against Arsenal and Crystal Palace were the matches when we were not the better team.
“I know that we must score goals. As a manager I know we must score but when you ask about the performance as a team, I am satisfied.”
Captain Wayne Rooney and midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin have been ruled out of the European match, which is the final meeting in Group B.
