Warri Wolves secured a 1-0 win against Kano Pillars in their week 11 Glo Premier League clash on Monday at the Warri City Stadium.

Super Eagles hitman, Gbolahan Salami, who scored against Chad on Saturday, converted a penalty in the 24th minute for the only goal  of the tightly contested encounter.

Salami who was brought down by a Pillars defender slotted the spot kick calmly past Theophilus Afelokhai who was in goal for the visitors.

It was the former 3SC striker's third goal in two matches for the Seasiders.

He grabbed a brace penultimate weekend in the club's 3-1 win against Congolese side, AC Leopards, in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The forward also opened scoring for Nigeria in their 2-0 win over Chad in a 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifying game against Chad on Saturday.
