Watford striker Odion Ighalo is hoping he can to surpass his goalscoring feat of last year in 2016..
The 26 year old forward who scored 32 goals in 2015 for club and country says he won't rest on his oars, but will be more prepared for the challenges in the new year.
Ighalo who will be eager to score in his seventh consecutive game against Manchester City on Sunday told Completesportsnigeria.com that 2016 will be greater.
"I give thanks to God for a successful year scoring 32 goals in 2015. I pray 2016 will be greater for me," Ighalo told Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ighalo who has scored 14 goals in 19 games in the current campaign for Watford has been linked with a move away from Vicarage Road in the January window but has since denied the reports.
Recall that he is the first Watford player to score in six consecutive games.
The former Udinese striker found the back of the net consecutively against Aston Villa, Norwich, Sunderland,Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs.
