Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes his side are in contention to win the Premier League title.
Arsenal are currently second, two points behind leaders Manchester City.
The Gunners trounced Manchester United 3-0 before the international break and Wenger expects more performances like that to fire his title challenge.
"The top eight can compete for the Premier League. It is difficult to rule anybody out," Wenger told a press conference ahead of Saturday's clash with Watford.
"You can compete for the championship if you turn up and fight for every game. We need to show the same quality."
Wenger added that Arsenal are still waiting for all of their players to return to the club from their national teams assignments to asses their readiness and fitness for Saturday's game against Watford.
A number of the Gunners’ squad are not due back in the UK from international duty and the club will check their fitness levels upon their return.
Real Madrid target Alexis Sanchez posted a picture of himself on the plane back to the UK overnight after his stint on international duty with Chile.
And Wenger confirmed that a number of other players would be assessed in the build-up to Saturday’s trip to Watford.
He added: “Some players land at 14:00 today (Thursday) so we have to check if we have no bad surprises.”
Wenger also reaffirmed Wednesday’s news that defender Laurent Koscielny will undergo a late fitness test ahead of this weekend’s game, while Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini should be available.
The Arsenal manager continued: “Koscielny faces a fitness test. We have three players that could come back.
“Jack Wilshere is still at least one month away. Danny Welbeck, earliest, beginning of January.”Watch The Premier League Live!! with EXPRESSVPN the #1 Trusted Name in VPN
