Arsene Wenger has praised 10-man Arsenal who held Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby in the early kick-off of the English Premier League.
Arsenal halted back-to-back losses to Manchester United and Swansea to secure the draw.
The draw leaves Gunners in third spot, five points off leaders Leicester City, who have a game in hand.
“We looked dangerous going forward, solid at the back and moved the ball well. It was a good performance,” Wenger said in his post-match reaction.
“Everybody drops points so let’s see what happens over the weekend. We need to take encouragement.
“We have to deal with it (pressure). We want to go on a run and play on Tuesday night in an important game.”
And reacting to Francis Coquelin’s red card, Wenger said: “We warned him at half time. It was a mistake and he knows that but he wanted to do well.”
