Wenger Won’t  Blame Players For West Ham Draw, Doubts Title chances

Arsene Wenger has rued Arsenal's 3-3 draw against West Ham in Saturday's English Premier League early kick-off at Boleyn Ground.

Arsenal raced into a 2-0 lead through Mezut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez before two late goals in the first half from from Andy Carroll ended the half 2-2.

In the second half, Carroll completed his hat-trick but Laurent Koscielny made it 3-3 for Arsenal.

In his post-match reaction, Wenger expressed his disappointment that Arsenal conceded three goals despite going in front.

"We've shown resilience and spirit to come back to 3-3,” the Frenchman said. “In the last 20 mins it could have gone both ways.

“I’m not here after the game to blame the players. We are disappointed to concede three goals. Particularly after 2-1. Overall it’s a shame."

He expressed doubts about Arsenal's chances of winning the title.

“Do we still have an opportunity to win the title? I don’t know. We made it more difficult today. We have to stay focused on finishing the best we can.”
