Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has described his side’s 3-2 Premier League loss to a youthful Manchester United as vital points dropped, while insisting United had experience despite their youth.
A brace from 18-year-old Premier League debutant Marcus Rashford and a goal from Ander Herrera secured the win for a depleted United side.
In his post-match reaction, Wenger said they will have to bounce back against Swansea on Wednesday.
“We conceded and it was difficult. The only regret is that we had so much of the ball but conceded three goals,” Wenger said.
“We dropped three important points today. We need to bounce back on Wednesday night.
“Let’s not get overboard. They had a very experienced midfield and spent a lot of money.
“It was a difficult game. The team put the effort in. We struggled to be dangerous because they defended well.”
