Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo is a target for West Brom manager Tony Pulis as he seeks a replacement for wantaway Saido Berahino, the Mirror reports.
According to the British outlet, talks over Berahino’s proposed move to Stoke have slowed but that has not stopped Pulis from considering Ighalo for West Brom.
Ighalo, who scored 15 Premier League goals for Watford last season, attracted interest from China in January.
The Guardian also reported two days ago that Chinese side Shanghai SIPG made a £37.5million offer for Ighalo, which Watford rejected.
However, the player did not want to move to the Far East because he wanted to stay in England.
Pulis believes Ighalo is available and is lining up a move for the 27-year-old.
Ighalo’s representatives were sounded out by Manchester United in the middle of last season but Old Trafford officials did not take their interest any further.
