West Ham bid farewell to Boleyn Ground with a 3-2 win against Manchester United which has dented the Red Devils’ chance of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Goals from Diafra Sakho, Michail Antonio and Winston Reid gave West Ham the win.
Anthony Martial scored United’s two goals.
The defeat leaves United in the fifth position in the Premier League table going into the last games of the season on Sunday.
West Ham went all guns blazing from the blast of the whistle in search of an early goal which proved futile.
But in the 10th minute Sakho opened the scoring, hitting Lanzini’s cutback which took a slight deflection off Daley Blind.
In the 18th minute, Dimitri Payet latched on to Andy Carroll’s knock down but David De Gea got down well to make the save.
Carroll was presented with a very good chance in the 20th minute after he was played through on goal, only to hit a weak shot against De Gea.
A minute later, Antonio had the ball inside the net which ruled out.
Payet was presented with a good chance on 32 minutes after sloppy play by the United defence but fired wide.
Antonio almost diverted a right-wing cross into his own goal in the 33rd minute but was lucky to see it go out for a corner.
On 43 minutes, Antonio hit a long range strike which came off a United defender and went for a corner.
Prior to the start of the second half, Michael Carrick replaced Schneiderlin.
Five minutes into the second half, Payet attempted a volley which went off target.
Martial made it 1-1 in the 51st minute, sliding into an empty net off a cross from Mata.
Payet came close on 55 minutes but his curler narrowly missed the target.
Sakho had a great chance to give West Ham the lead on 56 minutes only to head over the bar from close range following Payet’s free-kick.
Martial made a goal line clearance from Carroll’s header off Payet corner on 68 minutes.
In the 72nd minute, Martial made it 2-1, beating Reid for pace before hitting a left foot strike at Randolph’s near post.
In the 76th minute Antonio equalised for West Ham, heading in Payet’s cross.
Reid gave West Ham the lead on 82 minutes, heading in Payet’s well-taken free-kick.
Both teams made changes, with West Ham bringing on James Tomkins and Obiang for sakho and Lanzini, while Jesse Lingard replaced Herrera.
