-Five fighters Floyd Mayweather may fight after beating Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas
Floyd Mayweather moved his career record to 48-0 with a comprehensive points victory over Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.
The American won a comfortable decision on the judges’ scorecards, taking 118-110, 116-112, 116-112 victory.
After the fight ‘Money’ claimed he would have one more fight – in September – before retirement.
But who will be the final man to have the chance to solve the Mayweather puzzle?
Here are five men who will believe they are in with a shot…
The Briton has been chasing a fight with Mayweather for some time and is certainly in with a shout.
The 2004 Olympic silver medallist has a large global following and his speed could cause Money problems.
The undefeated Philadelphian is expected to move up to welterweight and could be the choice if Mayweather fancies an all American
His brash talking father would certainly help sell the fight but his somewhat crude style would be unlikely to give Floyd too many sleepless nights in the build-up.
This time last year a fight between Kell Brook and Floyd Mayweather would have been laughable.
But Brook is the IBF champion – and hold the only welterweight world title not in Floyd’s possession. Would Mayweather like to retire as the undisputed champion of the world with every belt around his waist?
A former Mayweather victim, Cotto is hugely popular and would probably represent the biggest payday for Money.
The light middleweight champion of the world would allow Mayweather to move up in weight and claim yet another world title to his collection.
The dangerous Thurman is an outsider but very highly rated. Would Mayweather risk it all against this hard-hitting youngster?
It would surely be tempting to play the generation game and bow out with victory over such a rising talent
