Nigeria Professional Football League joint-top scorer, Godwin Obaje, is relishing coming up against his elder brother Joshua when Wikki Tourists and Plateau United clash in a matchday 24 fixture at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos on Sunday.
Godwin who plays for Wikki Tourists has scored 13 goals alongside Sunshine Stars forward Okiki Afolabi, who is close to signing a six- month deal with an unnamed Argentinian side.
It will be the first time the former Mighty Jets striker will be facing his brother in a competitive game.
The former Road Safety Football Club of Abuja player told Completesportsnigeria.com that he will be delighted to see his side extend their unbeaten run against Plateau United and also outshine his brother.
“It will be the first time I will be playing against my elder brother (Joshua) in a competitive game and it will be nice to secure a win against him and Plateau United,” Obaje told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“He is a striker too and will be desperate to score against my team.
“I learnt a lot from him while I was growing up as a footballer and I want to prove to him that I’m ready to take over from him.
“We (Wikki) are on a good run and it will be great to continue that by coming out with a win in Jos.”
