A close confidant to Golden Eaglets star Victor Osimhen, has revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com that the talented striker is certain to sign for Bundesliga side, Wolfsburg, in the New Year despite rumours surrounding his transfer after the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
The Lagos based confidant who does not want his name mentioned, met with the parents of the Nigeria junior international after his visit to Germany recently and was able to convince them that his move to Bundesliga will aid his development.
“Victor has been to Germany where he saw the facilities on ground and also met with some of the officials of Wolfsburg who assured him of regular playing time and we are all happy with it”, begins the confidant, who is also part sponsor of his youth team.
“He would have signed the deal but we just wanted to wait till next week to see what will happen but I am 98% certain that he will sign for Wolfsburg" he reveals.
Completesportsnigeria.com was also informed that the player’s proposed visit to Arsenal grounds in England is more of a formality, saying the interest from the Gunners has not been that encouraging like the German side.
“We are planning a visit to Arsenal grounds but the interest from the club is not that strong like we have from Germany and I can tell you that the trip even looks like a formality”, he added
Meanwhile, a member of Synergy Ultimate Strikers Academy informed Completesportsnigeria.com why the youngster has not been able to travel to England.
According to him, getting a visa to England has been difficult for the player.
