A brace from Gbolahan Salami on Saturday ensured that Warri Wolves secured a 2-1 victory against FC MK Etanchéité of DR Congo in their CAF Confederation Cup first leg match played in Warri.
Super Eagles striker scored in each half to hand the Seasiders a slim advantage ahead of the second leg.
The visitors pulled one back in the 85th minute through Mombo Lwamba.
Paul Aigbogun’s team were mostly the better side throughout in Warri, and they were rewarded in the 6th minute. Salami grabbed the opener much to the delight of the home fans.

Nonetheless the Seasiders,who are Nigeria’s remaining representatives on the continental stage, are now in tight position to make into the final qualifying stage if they avoid defeat in the return leg.
